Vonderful Valentino

Silk and satin. Pink Valentino by Red Valentino. Either way it's a Vonderful Valentino satin '80s biker jacket here, with a silk Fornarina dress. Check out the mad print including hairdryers, blowing in the spring!

Pop to the shops

Popping to the shops - with a requisite basket, one of a dubiously large collection. White jeans again - but this time, flares from 7 for all mankind, a Ghost shirt, some two-tone Ray-Bans and vintage silver leather shoes from the '60s, giving me a spring in my step!

Busy but interesting

Busy but interesting. What started out as a rainy day turned into ideal weather for a peasant embroidered dress from Battersea bootfair, complete with some espadrilles, an Indian basket from Gabriel's Wharf and lots of accessories including a red cuff, also from Battersea, a white chunky ring from Mrs Robinson and an assortment of beads.

Horniman Gardens

Hoss at the Horniman. Here in a heavenly Hoss Homeless two-piece at the gardens overlooking the Horniman Museum. The heavy metals are bronze wedges from the south London emporium (The Dulwich Trader) and an Angel Jackson plaited leather bag (which is wearing wonderfully well). The jewellery is a pearly selection and the sunglasses, from Topshop, bring out the lovely pastel greens in this look from the Spanish label.

Strutting Texan-style

Out - in the sunshine. Tan and khaki united for a very laid-back afternoon. Another pair of trusty cowboy boots for strutting Texan-style.

The blossoms are out

It's official! The blossoms are out... or rather in. Here amongst the buds, I'm in a seasonal Ted Baker jacket, some vintage sunglasses from Whitby, North Yorkshire, InWear trousers and a pair of functional cowboy boots from Abbey, Clapham.
A tad overdressed for this glorious, warm weather.

Mirror, mirror

Mirror, mirror... I don't think so. Maybe I'm just a fairground attraction? But these trusty '70s Russell and Bromley platforms are most certainly not an illusion - topped off with some personalised vintage jewelled clips.

Feather in my cap

Leaning towards the classical... in a black satin Amanda Wakeley dress from a few seasons back. Zip runs all the way up the front!
Feather in my cap... or should I say feathers in this bespoke handmade hat. It's definitely a good combo with my feathered cape from Topshop. A collectible, perhaps ?

Saying adieu

Saying adieu to a friend's house in Clapham - a grand Georgian property. Fixtures: his. Dress: mine, from Paraphernalia boutique, south London. And the bag was a vintage find - you can't beat a good charity shop.

Pleats, please

This is not a tale from the Wienerwald, this is a stroll, at the pace of Strauss, around my local park, in a heavy linen peasant smock from the Austrian capital. Viennese pleats at their best, nicht wahr? Here with a pair of Loden green boots and a sailor's canvas bag from Cornwall.

Welly weather

Welly weather. That covers most of the year - in England. These are my favourites by Hunter (space-age silver), a grey shaggy vintage coat to keep out the spring chill, some white skinny jeans and a basket from my endless collection.
Artwork by Lucy Giles, a local artist based in south London.

All-out stripey

All-out stripey comes out again (from Biff Kids), with vintage blue silk culottes from North Cross Road market and a pair of red Melissa plastic T-bars from Bunka. All set against my sitting-room door, ready to go out for an early evening dinner.

Post-piloxing

Feeling good after... my first session of Piloxing (pilates and boxing). Punishingly good! My arms will look fab this summer. The stripes mean... go faster, work harder.
Here in a jumper from Biff (a kids' shop in Dulwich Village), a pair of Miss Sixty sunglasses and my trusty Supergas - from Stella C. Oh... and some white skinny jeans from Bunka.

Marvellous marble

Marble, marble on the wall...

Flounce and frill

Lovin' the Lanvin... my thrilling new purchase of a vintage skirt from the Parisian house - metallically matched with this Paul Smith jacket.

Double leather

It was a sad goodbye to Allders' flagship store in Croydon last year. From this longstanding retail institution, once the UK's third-largest department store dating back to 1862, I bagged these red leather trousers, topped off with more leather by Jasper Conran.

A plum getaway!

Mind the gap with this train-stopping Joseph ensemble with vintage croc boots from Rehab, Lewes, East Sussex and a mad shaggy bag from The Dulwich Trader, south London.
