Ring, ring at Kiosk No. 2

The K2 kiosk was Britain's first red telephone box. Designed by British architect, Sir Giles Gilbert Scott, the K2 was introduced in 1926, after which around 1,700 models were placed mostly in London. Now some 200 examples remain on Britain's streets and have since acquired Grade II listing status. The K2 design had one distinguishing feature: a domed roof, said to inspired by a lantern design at the Dulwich Picture Gallery. Now you can find a fine example of  K2 at the aforesaid gallery. It may not be in working order but it is a charming backdrop, as is the lovely gallery garden, for a few snaps. I'm wearing a vintage dress from Mabel, Melbourne Grove in SE22; studded sandals by Ash; a pair of kiosk-red vintage sunnies by Revlon; some cowrie-shell jewellery, and a basket from my unnecessarily large collection. The lipstick, as ever, is by Dior: Dolce Vita.

Greek is key

Greek is key... in the pattern on the collar of this authentic blouse, purchased in a street market in Islington. I am nowhere near the Aegean, but the colour of the silk culottes is the colour of the sea I'd like to dive into, any time. The '80s trousers, from Mabel in Dulwich, have the quirkiest label: Equipment of Boom Club. My jewellery is vintage, as is the knitted bag, from Past Caring. Sunnies are from Forever 21. Lunch and surroundings, both Med-style, are courtesy of local Italian eaterie in Dulwich, Sorsi & Morsi.

The colours of summer

Popping into my neighbourhood farm shop, Franklins, for some summer 'necessaries' such as tangy tomato relish and delicious dulce de leche. Today, in a simple no-label, linen '60s turquoise shift, bought recently at vintage store: Mabel, Melbourne Grove, East Dulwich. Accessoried with pops of yellow in my Osprey bag and summer wedges. The unusual scarab necklace was a reasonable (and unexpected) find from St Christopher's Hospice on Lordship Lane - today!
