Hide-and-seek

... but not in the case of this outstanding floor-length coat which simply presented itself and said: Buy me! All I know is that it hails from the Parisian label, Pellessimo and found its way across the Channel. Put together with a pair of twisted Levi's, Ras animal-print boots, and an ethnic bag from favourite charity, St Christopher's Hospice, it's a walk in the park. And even at dusk it's likely to startle the former farmlands of south London!

Isabel Marant pour H&M

Last night saw an exclusive shopping event preview: Isabel Marant pour H&M collection, in London's West End. The world, and his best-dressed wife, were out and about in H&M's store on Regent Street, sipping champagne, munching canapés, listening to DJs and making early-bird purchases. To the event, I wore the fakest of furs from the '70s; red leather trousers, featured in 'Double Leather' and 'Artists' Open House'; a pair of Ras boots; and an African woven bag, my latest find from favourite charity, St Christopher's Hospice.

Shades of autumn

It's the weather for covering up and keeping in with Keats' season of 'mists and mellow fruitfulness'. The knitted and fur 3-tone poncho is both warm and comfortable... and is worn simply with earth-brown accessories. Vintage Ray-Bans shield the grey of the day and the Pura López snake boots funk up the boardwalk. Even the ducks have taken for cover today!

Tan on the Thames

More brickwork... this time at Shad Thames, pulling in a fine view of Tower Bridge and within a stone's throw of The Design Museum. I have slept on the premises (!) some time before it became a mecca for contemporary international design. Established in 1989 by Terence Conran, it claims to be the first museum of modern design. And it plans to get bigger - with a proposed relocation to the former Commonwealth Institute in Kensington.
I am in all shades of brown, from tan to buttermilk to chocolate between, with my Banana Republic leather jacket, Joseph trousers, John Smedley jumper, Visconti leather bag, Mongolian lamb scarf and my Ras animal print boots.

Keeping it green

Never enough green to be seen!  An abundance here; from the BCBG Max Azria patent-leather jacket and Mongolian lamb scarf to the vintage tartan skirt by Jaeger.  It is well matched with another mature colour: plum to be found at my feet, on my lips and with my mohair shoulder-bag by Dollargrand.

Purple suede, purple suede

I am indeed amongst the Lady of the Woods - a host of silver birches on London's South Bank and wearing purple: suede jacket, a silk rose and a strip on my patent boots. Whilst the jacket whose colour and cut-of-collar shouts out the '70s, the rest of me is decidedly this century with a Fendi scarf, InWear skinnies... and that rucksack!
