Partycore
It's the season... for popping out to parties. Going for totally different looks, whether it's a tie-dye loose silk top, from Paraphernalia, and a pair of vintage Jaeger pants, partied up by vintage yellow earrings, silver jewellery and my only sporran! Or enjoying a few shades of grey in a silk Stills top and chiffon floor-length skirt by Lynn Lugo, and my daughter's flirty waistcoast by River Island. Jewellery is piled on for drama: chain necklace, pearl ring, silver bangles, studded leather bracelet and trusty Angel Jackson bag. The latter is starting to look magnificently wasted... but not this party animal!

It's all in the geometry
Caught the last weekend of the Royal Academy of Arts' interesting show, Radical Geometry, highlighting the dynamic work of a host of 20th century South American artists, as they challenged convention to create new geometric abstract art. Part of the Patricia Phelps de Cisneros Collection, the exhibition was all lines, forms and shapes, rather like my backdrop: the glass/steel staircase in the RA's Sackler Wing, built by Foster + Partners in 1991. By way of contrast, my look was all frills and furbelows in a fine silk duo: a top from By Malene Birger and a Miu Miu skirt from that swish Milanese store, 10 Corso Como, and a soft dove-grey pashmina, slung across my shoulders. My snake T-bars are by Ash and the silver leather shoulder bag by Angel Jackson just keeps on looking better with age!

Friday Late: Sensing Spaces
Seven architectural practices from six countries across four continents make up the new show, Sensing Spaces: Architecture Reimagined, at the Royal Academy of Arts. And last Friday's Late added a new mix and buzz to the prestigious space in Piccadilly by introducing lively, interactive entertainment and roaming performers, (including a crowd-sourcing poet) - enhancing the splendour of the show. The senses were certainly heightened by all this startling work, notably Pezo von Ellrichshausen's magnificent towers, which took you up to the heavens to meet an angel; Francis Kéré playful use of coloured straws - porcupine on the outside and tunnel within; Li Xiaodong's labyrinthine installation, both bright and ominous; and Kengo Kuma's magical sea of scented lights. There was certainly a party atmosphere on Friday night just about everywhere, including The Keeper's House where DJ Seb Wildblood was keeping the soundtrack suitably cool. I wore a feathered pencil skirt, a 1930s gentleman's velvet smoking jacket from The Army & Navy Store, (last featured in 'A gentleman's jacket'), a Roland Mouret sweater, and my Terry de Havilland 'Leyla Swirl' metallic wedges, complemented by a favourite silver bag from Angel Jackson. All I can say is... bring on more Lates!

An Honest burger
An evening out in Brixton Village Market for one of the best burgers in town - an Honest one, of course. Honest Burgers now has three London locations: Brixton, Soho and Camden, where burgers are served up with honestly good British produce. In Brixton at the weekend, my burger in a takeaway box came with rosemary-salted chips and a Shoreditch Blonde (that's the drink), and water in a jam jar with a handle... very alternative, very Brixton! Comfortable wear: a pretty printed-silk top by Danish label, Rützou; Italian khakis from Question Air; suede wedges by Lola Cruz and my trashed-but-trusty bag by Angel Jackson.

Chinoiserie - on a bench
Chinoiserie - in the shade. Dressed in embroidered silk and fringes the colour of toffee, dusky pink pearls at my neck, and a trio of bangles at my wrist. Both the bangles and ring are from Jessica Walker, Dulwich Village. The silver Angel Jackson bag matches the similarly distressed shoes (from the '30s) which were bought in Stockholm, Sweden.
